Our story began during college, while we both attended Berklee College of Music.  Though just friends, there was always an innocent flirtation between us and we always wondered if there was something more there.  After graduation, we went our separate ways, Elizabeth to sunny Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music business while Thomas stayed local around Boston eventually securing a position as one of the early members at RunKeeper.

Fast forward five years and several jobs later, we found ourselves still close friends but this time both single at the same time.  Thanks to fate and some good timing, Thomas was able to swing a visit to LA on an already booked trip to Hawaii. After the visit was over, the obvious question was, “when are we seeing each other again?” and after a few cross country flights, our 1 ½ year long-distance relationship began!

We spent the next year and a half flying back and forth from coast to coast (one more than the other…) and spent many weekends enjoying adventures all over Southern California and Boston.   But as much fun as we were having, the strain of the distance started to weigh on us, as it inevitably always does, and we decided that one of us needed to move.  We flipped a coin (kidding) and Elizabeth decided it was time to move back to the Northeast.  At the end of October 2012, we packed up everything we could fit and drove the 3,000 miles from Los Angeles to Boston.

Once in Boston we were given the chance to experience a relationship not only in the same city, but also in the same household.  It became apparent in relatively short order that there was no one else we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with, learning, laughing, and loving.  So, on a chilly winter night with Christmas lights aglow, Thomas got down on one knee and asked Elizabeth to spend the rest of her life by his side as his wife.

Which brings us to today…
